Dr. Avtar Singh is a highly accomplished academician, administrator, and researcher with approximately 39 years of distinguished service in higher education. Ex Principal of G.T.B. National College, Ludhiana, till January 2025.

A doctorate in Corporate Governance. Professor of Taxation, Accounting, and Corporate Governance, having a career in teaching for approximately 39 years. He held several key administrative positions, including Registrar, Vice Principal, UGC Coordinator, IQAC/NAAC Coordinator, and Head of the Postgraduate Department of Commerce.

A prolific researcher and published author, Dr. Singh has contributed research papers to reputed journals and has written and co-authored numerous academic books and book chapters. His doctoral research focused on governance practices in the Indian pharmaceutical sector. He also holds national and international patents in areas such as smart city management and budgeting systems.

Dr. Singh is an active member of various academic and professional bodies, including the Institute of Directors (IOD), IMCI, LMA, and several university academic councils. He was honoured as the Innovative Principal of the Year 2023 by the Global Teaching Awards and received recognition from the Director, Public Instruction (Colleges), Punjab, for exemplary leadership.

He continues to inspire through his lectures, research, and leadership in academic and policy-making circles.
